About the client
In January 2026, Human Source was engaged to lead the search for a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Hansab is one of Latvia’s leading technology companies, specializing in automation, digitalisation, and security solutions. Serving businesses and public sector organisations across the Baltics, Hansab provides end-to-end solutions, including consulting, software development, system integration, hardware supply, project management, and after-sales support. In 2025, the company employed 65 people and generated annual revenue of €7.41 million.
Goal
As the company entered a new stage of development and faced emerging business challenges, the decision was made to appoint a new CEO. Following discussions regarding the recruitment process and selection strategy, Hansab chose Human Source as its executive search partner.
The Executive search process
One of the key requirements for CEO candidates was proven leadership experience, combined with strong accountability, analytical thinking, and a solid understanding of the technology sector.
A total of 79 candidates were assessed during the search process, with five finalists advancing to the final selection stages. The shortlisted candidates represented organisations from a variety of industries, including logistics, telecommunications, IT wholesale distribution, and electrical manufacturing.
Today, executive hiring decisions are rarely based solely on interviews. To support objective and long-term hiring decisions, organisations increasingly rely on personality and cognitive assessments that help evaluate a candidate’s potential impact on future business performance and organisational development.
