Ervīns has more than 20 years of professional experience in recruitment and assessment. He specialises in senior and mid-level executive search, combining in-depth knowledge of psychology with a practical understanding of organisational needs.
Ervīns holds a doctoral degree in clinical psychology (Dr. psych.) from the University of Latvia. His doctoral thesis explored the relationship between psychotherapists’ creativity and personality traits and changes in client symptoms.
Ervīns gained his academic experience as a lecturer at the Department of Health Psychology and Pedagogy at Rīga Stradiņš University, as well as a visiting lecturer at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music. He has taught a wide range of courses, including organisational psychology, human resource management, cognitive psychology, social psychology, occupational health psychology, sport psychology, psychology of creativity, professional practice in psychology, general psychology, and the history of psychology.
In addition to his academic work, Ervīns has been involved in higher education quality assurance — supervising bachelor’s and master’s theses, participating in study programme accreditation and licensing processes, organising conferences, conducting research, serving as a member of the scientific committee at Rēzekne Academy of Technologies, and engaging in international cooperation within the Erasmus programme (guest lecture at the University of Padua, Italy).
Ervīns is the author of dozens of scientific publications, conference abstracts, and chapters in collective monographs. He has presented at both local and international conferences in Latvia, Estonia, Germany, Turkey, South Africa, Singapore, Israel, and other countries.
