Our client, Stora Enso, a leading global provider of renewable solutions in packaging, biomaterials, wooden constructions, and paper, is inviting a Harvesting Manager to join their team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead forest operations in the country.
  • Stock management (stumpage and roadside stock).
  • Oversee harvesting meetings within the unit.
  • Handle external sales and pricing.
  • Plan and manage logging volumes, sales, and supply.
  • Plan and track contractor workloads; ensure quality control.
  • Ensure safety standards at harvesting sites.
  • Provide safety and environmental training for employees and contractors.
  • Maintain documentation and implement IT systems.
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain team.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 3 years of previous work experience in an equivalent position and in team management.
  • Business knowledge and understanding of wood supply planning.
  • Higher education preferably in forestry or equivalent field.
  • Perfect negotiation un communication skills.
  • Result oriented personality, with high attitude to work, responsible and structured.
  • Open minded  person, stress resistant, flexible and ready to adapt.
  • Very good knowledge of Latvian and English.
